Engine 383 is operated with dual function as an engine or tanker. Equipped with a Detroit Diesel. Engine 383 is equipped with a Hale QMSG 1500 GPM pump and a 1500 gallon water tank with a 10 inch rear dump valve and a 2000 gallon portable dump tank. As our primary water supply unit, Engine 383 carries 1100 feet of 5 inch hose and 600 feet of 3 inch hose. Engine 383 is also our primary engine for brush fires following brush 397.
