Discharged Fire Extinguisher Causes Fire Alarm

At 2203hrs. Edinboro and McKean for one engine were alerted for an automatic fire alarm in College Park at the Kilty building. Engine 382 and Truck 389 responded. Units arrived on scene and reported a three story wood frame multi-residential with nothing visible from the exterior and Deputy Chief 381 (Karotko) assumed command. Crews were met by Edinboro PD stating there was a fire extinguisher that was discharged on the 3rd floor landing but no smoke or fire. Crews investigated and reported the same. Command cancelled McKean's engine and 382's crew ventilated. 382 was clear of the scene in twenty minutes.
