At 1813hrs. Edinboro was dispatched to transfer one engine to Venango Dept. 25 in Crawford County while they, Cambridge Springs, Saegertown and West Mead #2 (RIT) were operating at a structure fire on Gravel Run Rd. Engine 382 responded with six. While 382 was enroute, the crew was notified that they would also be covering Cambridge Springs. 382 stood by for approximately two hours with no incidents. While 382 was in Crawford County, Edinboro had a crew staffing McKean FD while their members enjoyed their annual installation dinner and also had a crew back in Edinboro staffing the second engine or truck. During the Gravel Run Rd. structure fire, two firefighters fell through the floor. West Mead #2's RIT Team under the direction of Deputy Chief Silva made entry for the rescue. 29's RIT was able to gain access to the two firefighters and assist them out of the hole with an attic ladder. The two firefighters were able to climb out on their own and were helped out of the house by the RIT Team. Luckily the two firefighters escaped injury. Great job to Deputy Chief Silva and the other members for their quick actions.
